Helmstedt's Charity Run Unites Community for Local Causes on June 21

A charity run will take place in Helmstedt on June 21, 2026, with all proceeds supporting local causes. Organised by the city and district’s equality officers, the event invites participants of all ages to walk, jog, or run through scenic forest routes. The focus lies on community spirit rather than competition. The event kicks off at HSV Helmstedt’s sports grounds on Bötchenberg Hill. Runners, walkers, and Nordic walkers can choose between 5K and 10K routes. Registration remains open until June 20, 2026.

Local businesses, including Amazon, Avacon, and OBI, are backing the initiative. Last year’s edition raised over €5,000, and organisers aim to exceed that total this time. The funds will benefit the local hospice association, the German Red Cross (DRK), and ASB Helmstedt.

On the day, the DRK will serve refreshments, while health funds AOK and IKK set up information booths. ASB Helmstedt will also provide medical support throughout the event. The charity run brings together participants for a shared cause. All donations will directly support three Helmstedt-based organisations. With local backing and growing interest, the event looks set to make a bigger impact than ever before.
