Halle Central Station launches joint 'Quattro Patrols' for safer travel hubs

Travelers and commuters at Halle Central Station are set to feel safer in the future: Since Friday, so-called "Quattro Patrols" have been deployed there. Teams from the federal and state police, the public order office, and Deutsche Bahn are now conducting joint patrols, the railway company announced.

Four Agencies, One Mission

The goal is to increase visibility and enable faster responses to issues in and around the station. The participating agencies are pooling their authorities to streamline operations. "By making security personnel more visible, we aim to meet this demand," said station manager Karsten Kammler.

Security officials also expect benefits from closer collaboration. "Through this coordinated effort, measures can be aligned and implemented more effectively," said Jan Usener, deputy head of the Federal Police Inspectorate in Magdeburg.

Part of a Nationwide Safety Initiative

Halle Central Station and the surrounding Riebeckplatz area are among the most critical transport hubs in Saxony-Anhalt. Deutsche Bahn views the new patrols as part of a broader national program to enhance safety and cleanliness at train stations.
