Government launches tender for six new bus routes by 2026

Six routes, millions in contracts, and a tight deadline. Who will win the bid to transform local passenger transport by 2026? The clock is ticking for operators to secure a slice of this 8.2-million-ruble opportunity.

Syktyvkar Administration Seeks Bus Operators for Five Routes

A tender for passenger and baggage transport services under regulated fares has been posted on the government procurement portal, covering routes No. 102, No. 103, No. 105, No. 109, and No. 126. The initial contract value is set at 8.2 million rubles.

Companies interested in participating in the electronic auction may submit their documents until April 6. The selection committee will determine the winning bidder on April 8, after which a contract will be signed.

According to the technical specifications, the operator must provide regular bus services on six routes.

Route No. 102 ("Bus Station – Maksakovsky Dachas") spans 21 km outbound and 21.1 km inbound and will operate from May 1 to September 30, 2026, inclusive.

Route No. 103 ("Gabov Square – Myrty-Yu") covers 27.06 km outbound and 27.19 km inbound and will run from April 24, 2026, to April 22, 2027, inclusive.

Route No. 105 ("Bus Station – Zdorovye Sanatorium") stretches 28.7 km outbound and 29.1 km inbound and will be in service from May 1 to September 30, 2026, inclusive.

Route No. 109 ("Railway Station – Myrty-Yu") measures 31.2 km outbound and 31.5 km inbound and will operate from May 1 to September 30, 2026, inclusive.

Route No. 126 ("Narodny Shopping Center – Maksakovsky Dachas") spans 26.1 km outbound and 26.5 km inbound and will run from April 24 to September 30, 2026, inclusive, with a second operational period from October 1, 2026, to April 22, 2027, inclusive.

The contracting authority has set mandatory requirements for vehicle specifications and equipment. Small and mid-sized buses must not exceed eight years in service, while large buses may operate for up to 15 years.

Capacity requirements have also been established: small buses must accommodate no more than 40 passengers, including 16 seated; mid-sized buses, up to 50 passengers with 19 seated; and large buses, up to 71 passengers with 22 seated.
