Summer Music Festivals and Concerts Across Europe

In the heart of the summer season, some of Europe's most renowned cultural hotspots are gearing up for an array of captivating music events. Here's a round-up of what's on the agenda for the upcoming months.

Milan

The I-DAYS Festival 2025 promises an exciting line-up, running from June 2 to August 27 at Ippodromo Snai La Maura and Ippodromo Snai San Siro. Highlights include performances by Justin Timberlake, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, and Post Malone, among others. (Details available at [1][2][3])

However, if you're seeking a more classical experience, Milan also offers the Summer Party Night event on August 2 at Ex Area Pozzi, Corsico, featuring a DJ set with commercial music, food, and drinks.

Pienza

For those who appreciate the beauty of Renaissance architecture, the Duomo of Pienza serves as a stunning backdrop for a concert on an undisclosed date. The event will mark the final performance of the 38th edition of the Time in Jazz festival, with Paolo Fresu and his Devil Quartet taking centre stage.

Sardinia

While specific festival details for Sardinia were not found, the Time in Jazz festival in San Teodoro promises a memorable concert, featuring Fresu and his quartet. The event will also include a sacred program performed by the Coro della Cattedrale di Siena, showcasing music from the 16th century and contemporary compositions.

Salzburg

The 105th Salzburg Festival is taking place during Ferragosto, and the city will host a world premiere of "Der Schneesturm" from the novel by Vladimir Sorokin. Directed by Kirill Serebrennikov, the production will feature English subtitles. Additionally, the rare opera "Zaide" by Mozart, with a completed text by Italo Calvino, will be premiered.

Glyndebourne

At the Glyndebourne Festival, Damiano Michieletto will stage "Káťa Kabanová," a show that was previously on stage in 2021 and is now being reprised. Robin Ticciati, the musical director of the Glyndebourne Festival, will conduct the London Philharmonic Orchestra for the performances. The festival's schedule for summer 2025 is yet to be announced.

Elsewhere in Italy

On the eve of Ferragosto, a musical tour will take place in Municipio 3, featuring a brass band and a performance by James Brown is dead, black music and rhythm and blues, with Waldo Weathers on sax.

The Duomo, located in a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its original stylistic unity, one of the most significant realizations of the humanistic ideals of the 15th century, will also host a concert on an undisclosed date. The performance will include a sacred program featuring the Coro della Cattedrale di Siena.
