Fayette County teen arrested for sexual assault and drug crimes involving minors

Fayette County teen arrested for sexual assault and drug crimes involving minors

A Fayette County man has been arrested pending a sexual assault and drug investigation.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says 18-year old Shawn Elliot Kuhse of Fayette has been arrested and charged with numerous felonies pending the investigation.

In late March, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office was made aware of a possible sexual assault in Fayette, where a suspect was enticing, grooming, and distributing illegal substances to minor.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 104 Alexander Street in Fayette, where marijuana, THC Edibles, and paraphernalia were seized from the home. Further interviews and forensic phone evidence showed Kuhse attempting to sexually assault another minor at the residence and offering illegal substances in exchange of sexual favors.

On Wednesday, Kuhse was arrested on multiple Fayette County arrest warrants for Distributing Illegal Substances to Persons Under 18, Lascivious Acts with a Child-Solicitation, Enticing a Minor Under 16 for Sexual Purpose, and Grooming. He was also additionally charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kuhse was taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail, where he was held on bond set in the amount of $25,300 cash only.
