Emma Willis joins Strictly Come Dancing as new co-host for 24th series
The BBC has chosen Emma Willis as one of the new hosts for Strictly Come Dancing. The presenter, known for her work on The Voice UK and Big Brother, is expected to accept the role. She will join Zoe Ball, who is set to return as co-host for the 24th series of the show.
The judging panel remains unchanged, with Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton du Beke all returning to score the celebrity contestants.
Nine shortlisted stars attended final auditions and dress rehearsals for the hosting job. Among them were Rylan, Tom Allen, and Alex Jones, but Willis stood out during chemistry tests. BBC insiders described her as a 'safe pair of hands' for the role.
Willis brings years of presenting experience to *Strictly*. She has fronted major shows like *The Circle*, *Love Is Blind: UK*, and *The Voice UK*. Her versatility and professionalism reportedly impressed producers during the selection process. The upcoming series will also see familiar faces among the professional dancers. Dianne Buswell, Nancy Xu, and Julian Caillon are all confirmed to return. The full celebrity lineup has yet to be announced, but preparations are well underway for the autumn launch.
An official announcement about Willis’s appointment is expected soon. She and Ball will lead the show’s live broadcasts, while the judging panel and returning dancers prepare for another season. The 24th series of Strictly Come Dancing will air later this year on BBC One.
