Chastain Park Spring Arts Festival celebrates 18 years of creativity and community

The Chastain Park Spring Arts Festival returned this weekend for its 18th annual Mother’s Day celebration. Held every other year, the event drew crowds with nearly 175 artists, live music, and family-friendly activities spread across the park. Organised by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces and volunteer artists, the festival has built a strong reputation over the years. Sunshine Artist Magazine once ranked it among the nation’s top 100 arts festivals. This year’s edition kept up the tradition with vendor booths showcasing paintings, sculptures, jewellery, and other handmade goods.

Visitors enjoyed a mix of local acoustic performances while browsing the stalls. Children took part in dedicated activities, and food trucks offered everything from snacks to full meals. The event also welcomed dogs, reinforcing its inclusive atmosphere for all ages. The festival continues Sunday until 5 p.m., with free parking available near the Chastain Park Amphitheater. Organisers encouraged attendees to explore the full range of offerings before the event wraps up.

The two-day festival combined art, music, and community engagement in a long-standing tradition. Free parking and a relaxed setting made it accessible for families and art lovers alike. The next edition is expected to return in two years for another Mother’s Day weekend.
