East Africa Launches Initiative to Empower Women in iGaming by 2026
In line with our commitment to empowering more women in the iGaming industry, we are proud to announce the launch of the Women in Gaming Association - East Africa, scheduled for May 4th, 2026, at the iGaming AFRIKA Summit. The launch is powered by Ocean Gaming Consult, the leading consulting company in Africa and beyond.
Guided by our tagline: Identify, Mentor, empower and together with the rest of the officials, we will identify women, mentor them, and expose them to the wider iGaming community.
We will achieve this by engaging with B2C operators and collaborating with their performance teams to explore ways of supporting their top-performing staff. This includes creating opportunities for them to attend iGaming events, where they can connect with like-minded professionals and broaden their perspectives.
Additionally, we will host in-person discussion forums at various venues, including workplaces, providing a safe and open space for employed women to share the professional challenges they face.
We endeavor to celebrate when needed, encourage when needed, and support one another when needed ultimately sharing in each other's journeys.
We will also foster peer mentorship, supporting one another in career progression and developing leadership skills that enhance performance and position women for promotions and long-term growth.
