FESCO's China Direct Line sees 38% surge in container traffic in early 2026

In the first quarter of 2026, FESCO Transportation Group ("FESCO" or "the Group," part of the state corporation Rosatom's management structure) carried over 74,000 TEUs via its FESCO China Direct Line (FCDL) maritime service between Chinese ports and Vladivostok—a 38% increase compared to the same period last year.

The growth was driven primarily by imports, which exceeded 58,000 TEUs amid a shift in cargo flows from China toward Far Eastern ports. Exports via FCDL totaled around 16,000 TEUs.

The FCDL maritime service, operated by FESCO's own fleet, includes three regular container routes linking Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VCSP, part of FESCO) with key Chinese ports, including Shanghai, Ningbo, Xingang, Dalian, Rizhao, Lianyungang, Yantian, Nansha, and others. The service has a weekly capacity of 5,000 TEUs. FESCO plans to further expand its shipping capacity on routes between Chinese ports and Vladivostok.
