Colorado's top high school actors and production shine at Bobby G Awards

The annual Bobby G Awards took place on Friday night at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. The event recognised top talent in high school theatre across Colorado. Two students earned the highest acting honours, while Windsor High School claimed the top production prize.

The awards, often called the Tony Awards for Colorado teens, were hosted by the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA). CEO Janice Sinden highlighted their importance in celebrating young performers.

Grayson Allensworth from Denver School of the Arts and Gillian Reynolds of Durango High School both won best leading role awards. Their performances stood out among this year’s nominees. As winners, Allensworth and Reynolds will now represent Colorado at the national Jimmy Awards in New York City. The DCPA will cover their trip to the prestigious event. Windsor High School took home the award for best overall production. Their show was selected as the strongest among all participating schools this year.

The Bobby G Awards once again showcased Colorado’s brightest high school theatre talent. Allensworth and Reynolds will compete against top performers from across the US at the Jimmy Awards. Meanwhile, Windsor High School’s production team earned statewide recognition for their work.
