Charles Spencer weds archaeologist Kate Jarman just months after divorce

Charles Spencer, the younger brother of Princess Diana, has married archaeology professor Kate Jarman. The wedding took place in Arizona, USA, on May 15, 2023—just three months after his divorce was finalised. The couple first met five years ago at Althorp Estate, the Spencer family’s ancestral home. Their relationship progressed after Spencer ended his third marriage to Karen in February 2023. A legal dispute between the former spouses had delayed the divorce settlement, but its resolution cleared the way for the new union.

This marks Spencer’s fourth marriage. Jarman, an academic specialising in archaeology, brings three children from her previous relationship. Spencer, meanwhile, has six children from his earlier marriages. Together, they now form a blended family of nine. The couple shared the news of their wedding on social media shortly after the ceremony.

The marriage follows a period of legal negotiations and personal transitions for both Spencer and Jarman. With their families now united, the couple begins a new chapter after tying the knot in Arizona.
