Burst fire hydrant floods Vladivostok apartment building amid repairs

A fire hydrant burst in the entryway of a residential building in Vladivostok's Snegovaya Pad microdistrict, flooding elevator shafts, apartments, and other areas, according to the Telegram channel (18+) Svodka25.

"The incident has been reported to housing maintenance specialists for immediate action," the Municipal Crisis Management Center told PrimaMedia's correspondent.

The rupture occurred in a building on Admiral Gorshkov Street. The cause of the accident remains unknown.

Meanwhile, construction is underway on an additional stormwater drainage system to divert water from Lugovaya Square in Vladivostok. A contractor has already been selected and is expected to complete the project by the end of May.
