Brian Cage makes explosive in-ring return after three-year injury hiatus
A major AEW star who has been off TV for some time now has just addressed their recent return to the ring during WrestleMania 42 weekend. They were in good spirits following this.
Brian Cage has not been seen on AEW since March last year. He sustained a major injury that has put him on the shelf. He finally made his in-ring return last weekend, competing in several matches on the independent circuit.
The Machine took to Instagram and posted more clips from his matches last weekend. He competed in a total of three matches in one day, but he seemed to be feeling good coming out of these. Cage mentioned how he was continuously working to get back into condition one week at a time.
"Some more clips from my return. 3 matches in one day. Feels good to be back! And now the gain train is a rolling, week after week, and I'm in full GMSi mode" Cage posted.
The AEW star was recently spotted with CM Punk
Apart from WWE, several wrestling promotions were also holding their events around the Las Vegas area, which is why several wrestlers have been spotted linking up in recent days.
Brian Cage recently took to Instagram and posted about running into CM Punk at Dragon Lair's Gym in Vegas. He posted a picture they shared and expressed how great it was seeing a friend from the Stamford-based promotion during WrestleMania week.
"Made a post this morning about never taking pictures, and then as fate would have it, it gave me another opportunity. I'd normally just catch up with @cmpunk and leave it at that, but figured after just posting about this, it was my chance to try to respond differently. Always nice seeing many of the friends from the other side at @the_dragons_lair during mania week. Been cool with punk ever since taking the last GTS on dynamite,"
Now that Brian Cage is in a good enough condition to get back into the ring, it remains to be seen if this will possibly lead to his imminent return to AEW. He is still considered a member of the Don Callis Family, but the landscape has completely changed since his last appearance.
