The image shows a group of people sitting on the ground in front of a building, with some of them holding musical instruments. There are mics with stands, bottles, and other objects scattered around them, and a carpet on the floor. In the background, there are buildings with windows, plants, trees, and the sky. It appears to be a live performance of a band in Berlin.

Berlin (dpa/bb) – Berliners can now combine jogging with a lesson in music history, thanks to a new initiative by the Staatsoper. Regular group runs are being organized, with upcoming sessions still open for registration on April 27, May 26, and June 17. Each run begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.

Festive Season Highlights

The Staatsoper is hosting its second "Social Run" this Monday (March 30) as part of its festive season celebrations, though this session is already fully booked. The route includes stops at the monument honoring Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Ludwig van Beethoven, as well as the former site of the Kroll Opera House.

The festive season kicks off this weekend with a performance of Der Rosenkavalier, conducted by General Music Director Christian Thielemann, followed by a Good Friday concert. On Sunday, the premiere of Giuseppe Verdi's Un ballo in maschera takes the stage, starring soprano Anna Netrebko, with Enrique Mazzola leading the orchestra.
