Berlin's Kiezsalon returns with bold new season at Schloss Britz

The Kiezsalon season kicks off in Neukölln at Schloss Britz, an 18th-century neoclassical manor house. On Friday, May 22, 2026, the Berlin-based duo Andrea Belfi & Jules Reidy, Glasgow's folk ensemble Susannah Stark & Band, and New York cellist and producer alice does computer music will take the stage.

The following day, Saturday, May 23, 2026, the lineup continues with Scottish vocalist Maggie Nicols, Ghent-based ambient producer Natasha Pirard, Finnish saxophonist Heli Hartikainen, and the jazz collective KOOB.

Born a decade ago from the fertile cultural soil of post-reunification Berlin, the Kiezsalon concert series has since become a one-of-a-kind fixture in Germany's independent music scene. Renowned for its curatorial vision and consistency, it has grown into one of the city's most beloved and successful music series.

This nomadic concert format presents compact, stylistically complementary programs, blending aesthetic and subcultural contrasts. The result is more than just a meeting place for diverse musical expressions—it's a space where audiences of all tastes can connect. In Berlin's often fragmented music landscape, this unifying, inclusive approach sets Kiezsalon apart and drives its mission.

Another defining feature is its programming philosophy: no artist is ever booked twice. This commitment keeps the lineup fresh and fulfills the series' promise to audiences—each concert brings new discoveries. By giving all performers equal billing, Kiezsalon dismantles the traditional hierarchy between supporting acts and headliners. The full program is available here.
