Road Surface Severely Damaged by Frost-Induced Potholes

Bamberg to resurface pothole-ridden Hertzstraße in one-day road closure

Due to extensive pothole damage caused by frost, the road surface along Hertzstraße between Röntgenstraße and Boveristraße must be completely resurfaced under full closure. Bamberg Service will carry out the roadworks on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed the same day. To meet the tight schedule, initial work will begin as early as 6:00 AM.

Residents were previously notified of the existing parking ban along street-side parking spaces via posted signage. While access for local residents and pedestrian traffic will remain possible, minor delays may occur due to construction activity. Affected households were also informed by direct mail.

Traffic will be diverted via Röntgenstraße – Siemensstraße – Boveristraße.
