Marshalik explained that June will see temperatures 1-2 degrees above normal, with precipitation within normal limits. In most parts of Yakutia, the beginning of June will be cool, with even frost in some regions, she added, pointing out that early June temperatures will be between 15-16 degrees Celsius, which is standard for that time of the year.
June's unseasonable warmth follows an anomalous heatwave at the end of May, according to Marshalik. She emphasized that the expected June coolness and even cold temperatures represent normal variations in seasonal weather patterns for this period.
It's worth noting that Yakutia typically experiences a brief yet occasionally warm summer, with daytime highs ranging from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius in June. Precipitation during the summer months tends to be low but can include occasional rain showers or thunderstorms.
