ZXMOTO stuns motorsport with historic WorldSSP double victory in Portugal

ZXMOTO has clinched a historic double victory in the World Supersport (WorldSSP) category at the Portuguese round of the Superbike World Championship. The win triggered a surge in stock prices for two Chinese companies linked to the young motorcycle brand, which was founded just months ago by entrepreneur Zhang Xue. The triumph in Portugal marked ZXMOTO's first major success in international motorsport. The company, established in April 2024, secured a dominant performance in the WorldSSP class, a key support category within the Superbike World Championship.

Following the victory, shares in Zhejiang Hongchang Electrical Technology—an indirect investor in ZXMOTO—soared by 20 percent, reaching 42.29 yuan per share. Meanwhile, Hangzhou HopeChart IoT Technology, a strategic partner of ZXMOTO, saw its stock price climb 16.26 percent to 30.60 yuan. The broader A-share motorcycle sector also rose by 4.94 percent on the news. ZXMOTO's rapid growth extends beyond racing. In March, the company completed its Series A funding round, raising 90 million yuan. This investment valued the firm at approximately 1.09 billion yuan. Founder Zhang Xue has set an ambitious goal: transforming ZXMOTO into a globally recognised top-tier brand within the next decade.

The Portuguese victory has already delivered financial gains for ZXMOTO's associated firms. With strong backing and early motorsport success, the company now aims to expand its influence in both racing and the wider motorcycle market. The next steps will test whether its momentum can translate into long-term industry leadership.
