Zlatoust witnesses a gathering between the regional leader and war veterans from Chelyabinsk
Chelyabinsk Region Steps Up Support for Special Military Operation Participants
The Chelyabinsk Region, located in the Southern Urals, is making significant strides in supporting participants of the Special Military Operation (SVO) and their families. The region's latest developments include the launch of a comprehensive, standardized support system in line with Presidential instructions.
At the heart of these efforts is a specially dedicated rehabilitation center for SVO participants, primarily focusing on medical rehabilitation. Plans are underway to expand such centers across major cities in the region.
Infrastructure improvements are also a key part of the region's support measures. The regional military hospital under the Defence Ministry has been fully renovated, and the regional hospital for war veterans is currently undergoing renovation. A center for adaptive sports is also planned for construction.
The "Heroes of the Southern Urals" personnel training program has been initiated to prepare and integrate SVO participants for roles in federal and municipal authorities, state-owned enterprises, and socially significant projects.
Governor Alexei Teksler met with veterans of the special operation in Zlatoust, one of the oldest museums in the country, to discuss issues of supporting participants in the SVO and their families. Teksler emphasized the importance of patriotic education and work with youth during the gathering.
In addition to these measures, the region is addressing security challenges related to ongoing sabotage and terrorist threats. The FSB uncovered caches of improvised explosive devices in Chelyabinsk intended to target military officials, leading to criminal investigations for attempted terrorist acts.
Citizens have been warned to remain vigilant and avoid accepting parcels from unknown sources, underscoring the heightened security environment affecting military personnel and related groups.
A unique support and rehabilitation center for SVO participants has opened in Chelyabinsk, housing federal and regional structures, NGOs, the "Patriots of Russia" fund, and a military-social center. This center offers medical rehabilitation, adaptive sports activities, job assistance, and more.
Across the region, platforms for adaptive sports activities are opening, providing opportunities for SVO participants to engage in physical activities tailored to their needs.
The Zlatoust History and Culture Museum, which houses unique collections that reflect the traditions of the Southern Urals, is set to celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2025.
Governor Alexei Teksler emphasized that regional support measures are constantly being improved, with special attention given to adapting fighters to civilian life. The Chelyabinsk Region currently has 34 regional and 20 municipal support measures in effect, totaling 142 including federal ones.
Despite the challenges, the Chelyabinsk Region continues to focus on various support measures for SVO participants and their families, demonstrating a commitment to their well-being and successful reintegration into society.
- I'm not sure if the focus on military operations in the Chelyabinsk Region only pertains to the Special Military Operation (SVO), or if it also encompasses war-and-conflicts in general, as politics and general news might suggest.
- The expansion of rehabilitation centers across major cities in the Chelyabinsk Region, alongside efforts in job assistance and adaptive sports activities, indicate an emphasis on the well-being of individuals involved in war-and-conflicts beyond the Special Military Operation (SVO), possibly referring to a broader context of politics and general news.
