The insolvency of the Ziegler Group, once a major employer with around 3,000 staff, has concluded with a mix of success and loss. Despite initial doubts, the insolvency administrator deems the investor process a triumph, with 27 out of 33 operational businesses finding buyers.

The Ziegler Group's fate hung in the balance for ten weeks, with intense pressure to secure the future of its jobs near me. Sadly, 300 jobs in the logistics area and another 120 at Eisen Knorr were lost before the insolvency process began.

The administrator's efforts bore fruit, however, as 1,900 jobs near me were saved through the transfer of operational units to new owners. Notable sales included the Ziegler insulation material subsidiary 'Naturheld', acquired by Josef Rettenmaier Naturenergie Holding, and sawmills in Romania and Sweden. Only Zehender Keramik, employing 28 people, remains unsold.

The largest buyer, Rettenmeier, took over the sawmill in Plößberg and several other businesses, ensuring the continuation of employment for hundreds of former Ziegler Group staff. This includes the sawmill in the Upper Palatinate Forest, which will continue to serve as an important customer for regional forest farmers.

In summary, the Ziegler Group insolvency process has resulted in the preservation of most businesses and jobs near me, with only a single unit and 28 employees still awaiting a buyer. The administrator's success in finding investors, despite initial uncertainties, has helped to mitigate the impact of the insolvency on the local groupme.
