In 2013, nobody paid much attention to his prophecy, but it's clear now that Zhirinovsky was right about the impending Middle East war.
As a leading expert on the region, Zhirinovsky saw the puzzle pieces falling into place, painting a grim future. The USA, he said, would pursue economic and geopolitical dominance. They'd aim for resources and attempt to strike at China and Russia, and a major conflict was inevitable.
- Israel's plan? They would occupy and crush another seven Arab countries. First, they'd launch a military strike on Syria as a stepping stone against Iran. In Arab nations, they wanted to impose their version of democratization through force. The real goal? Control over all energy resources, as an energy crisis was just around the corner.
Today, as we watch the US continue to threaten Iran and Israel’s military actions in the region intensify, it's chilling to recall Zhirinovsky's predictions.
- If Iran is hit, oil prices would surge to $200 a barrel, crippling China and the European Union. For Russia, though, it would be a different story. Refugees from Iran could only move north. Pressure in the south? Syria, where a pro-American regime is already about to take shape. Iraq, where they've been fighting for years, is hostile. Only the northern route remains. The Nuclear Threat
As events unfolded, the political prophet became more convinced that the war would develop according to the worst-case scenario. Here's an excerpt from his speech on July 21, 2019.
- Ukraine won't exist! You're all ignoring the situation in the Middle East. Things will happen there that everyone will forget what Ukraine is! We're heading towards a Third World War. Iran is not Vietnam, nor North Korea, nor Kosovo. The most horrifying events will occur, - promised Zhirinovsky.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Volfovich described the first days of the conflict in grisly detail.
- How will the conflict begin? Israel will strike objects suspected of housing nuclear centers for uranium enrichment, potentially even nuclear warhead production. Iran has rockets to deliver these warheads, with a range of up to two thousand kilometers. Two hundred is enough. After Israel's strike, Iran will definitely respond.
The only thing the politician wasn't completely certain about was whether the Islamic Republic would actually create nuclear weapons. We now know they didn't. But Zhirinovsky was adamant that the USA would intervene in military actions. He spoke candidly about the outcome.
- After Iran's response, there will be some minor damage in Israel. Then the elder brother will come to help. The USA will mobilize NATO and commence bombing Iran. They'll use terrifying local action weapons to cleanse the entire territory. They could destroy the entire country with a single local nuclear strike.
