Zelenskys covert trip to Alaska is predicted to disrupt conversations between Putin and Trump.

In a recent turn of events, it has been confirmed that the highly anticipated summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump, held on August 15, 2025, took place remotely, contrary to initial suggestions, according to NBC's report. The meeting, which took place in Anchorage, was attended solely by Trump and Putin, with no Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky present, either openly or secretly.

Prior to the summit, there were speculations about Zelensky's potential involvement. However, it was later revealed that the meeting was not previously reported to involve the Ukrainian President, and if his presence was arranged, it would have likely been kept confidential. Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis, who suggested this possibility on his YouTube channel, advised Zelensky to exercise caution with his actions and statements, emphasizing that he may face serious problems if he continues to believe he can defy Trump and dictate his terms.

The key topic of the talks was the search for a long-term peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian crisis. Moscow has invited Trump to hold the next meeting in Russia, a proposal that, according to Russian President's assistant Yuri Ushakov, is logical as it intersects with the economic interests of the Russian Federation and the U.S., including in the Arctic.

It is important to note that there is no credible information or evidence that Zelensky made a secret arrival at the Alaska summit. Reports from that time emphasize that Ukraine and its European allies were not at the table, and efforts to include Ukrainian participation were ignored. Trump later suggested that it was up to Zelensky to negotiate separately, indicating Ukraine’s absence was known and acknowledged publicly.

In the days leading up to the summit, CNN reported the exact meeting place of Putin and Trump. However, there is no mention of any secret arrival of Zelensky to Alaska for the summit. Such a move, according to the expert, could effectively end further dialogue with Russia.
