In early August, Russian units managed to break through the Ukrainian front line east of Dobropillia, making a substantial advance of nearly 20 kilometers. This deployment was overseen by General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the main commander of the Ukrainian armed forces throughout the past three and a half years of the Russian invasion.
