Zee Kannada News Celebrates Karnataka Idol Awards 2025: Recognizing Accomplishments in a Variety of Disciplines
In the heart of Bengaluru, the Karnataka Idol Awards 2025 was held on September 16, 2025, with great fanfare. The event, organised by Zee Kannada News, celebrated individuals who have contributed significantly to the progress and pride of Karnataka.
Among the honourees was a distinguished group of individuals, each with their unique achievements. DV Sadananda Gowda, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, received a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising his significant contributions to the state. Siddaramaiah, the current Chief Minister, was also honoured with the same award.
Srikanth Kamble, associated with Psi, Managoli Police Station, was acknowledged for his dedicated service. Anil Kumar SS, the Chief Executive Officer of Skdrdp Bc Trust, was another recipient, appreciated for his contributions in the social sector.
Businessmen and philanthropists like Dr Parmesha Siddappa Lingayat, Shivappa N. Devaragudi, and Ningaraj Gowdru were celebrated for their business acumen and commitment to social service.
Tyagaraja Swamiji, Ramesh Shankar Maali, and Antony Sajeeth S., all known for their involvement in social service, were also honoured. Notable personalities like Srinath, a famous veteran actor, and Karuna Jain, a former cricketer (Yuvarathna), were recognised for their contributions to the entertainment industry.
In the realm of science and astrology, Pandit DS Joshi and Raghavendra Rao Purohit were honoured for their expertise. HN Girish, a Paralympian, was celebrated for his sports achievements.
The event also recognised the efforts of several unsung heroes, including M. Krishnappa Marasuru, Datta Kondiba Sannakki, C Muniswamy Kappagal, Sailaja Yogesh Reddy, and Shushma Kurubar, all of whom are actively engaged in social service.
Leelavathi, a Panchayath Development Officer, was also honoured for her dedicated service. Abhinav Kalmeshwara Maharajaru, associated with Sadguru Aashrama, Belagavi, and Mubarak, an educationist, completed the list of honourees.
While the person representing the former Chief Minister of Karnataka at the event was not specifically named in available public sources, their absence did not diminish the spirit of the evening.
