A Shooting Star in Kazakhstan's Chess World: Aliшер Abdsattar
Meet Aliisher Abdsattar, the young sensation stirring up the Kazakh chess community. His impressive achievements have catapulted him towards master of sports status, making him one of the youngest contenders in Kazakhstan.
This prodigy dedicates 5-6 hours each day to his chess education, demonstrating an unyielding determination and boundless enthusiasm that has reaped extraordinary results in just two years.
"He's sweat and grind, only to falter and regain, last year he clinched the second spot at the World Championship under 7 in Turkey. He followed it up with another second place at the Asian Championship. This year, he became the undisputed champion of Kazakhstan at the National Championship," shared his coach, Azamat Dauimbetov.
With a clear understanding that hard work is the backbone to scaling new heights, Aliisher sets his sights high. "I aim to emulate Magnus Carlsen, become a world champion, an international grandmaster," he declares.
Aliisher's mother, Aigul Dersbisalieva, describes him as a chess fanatic. "He's chess-obsessed, dreaming of chess moves in his sleep and jotting down combinations upon waking. His passion for chess is so intense that he even forces others to join in, regardless of their experience," she explains.
While chess is his primary passion, Aliisher also nurtures interests in singing and mathematics.
The fundamental rule of chess – to enhance one's skills, one must contest a stronger adversary. Despite the persistent fear of 'brain drain' abroad, it appears that Kazakhstan's intellectual resources are inexhaustible.
