Yusuf Emre Kasal takes charge at SV Rot-Weiss Wittlich with promotion in sight
SV Rot-Weiss Wittlich has named Yusuf Emre Kasal as its new head coach. The club currently sits second in the table and hopes to push for promotion to the Oberliga under his leadership. Kasal replaces Fahrudin Kuduzovic after a successful spell at FC Cosmos Koblenz last season.
Kasal brings a strong footballing background to the role. As a player, he featured in 259 matches and scored 16 goals across various leagues, including Turkey’s second division and Regionalliga Südwest. His professional career began at VfR Mannheim, where he helped the team earn promotion to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg.
In 2011, he joined SSV Jahn Regensburg and made his competitive debut in a DFB-Pokal match against Borussia Mönchengladbach. That same season, he made his 3. Liga debut as a substitute. Despite a mid-season injury, Regensburg secured a playoff spot and won promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. After retiring, Kasal moved into coaching. In the 2024/25 season, he guided FC Cosmos Koblenz to promotion to the Oberliga. He left the club by mutual agreement in late December 2025. Now, with a UEFA Pro License, he takes charge at Wittlich, aiming to replicate his previous success.
Kasal’s arrival marks a new chapter for SV Rot-Weiss Wittlich. The team will look to his experience as both a player and a coach to strengthen their promotion bid. His track record suggests he could be a key figure in their campaign.
