Yungblud emotional as he recalls Ozzy in a poignant moment
In a heartfelt conversation with The Times, British artist Yungblud shared his emotions following the unexpected passing of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, also known as The Prince of Darkness.
Yungblud, who found a deep bond with Ozzy Osbourne over the past few years, expressed his disbelief and sorrow. "I was overwhelmed when I heard the news," he said. "Ozzy was more than just a hero to me; he was a mentor, a friend, and a father figure."
Their relationship, which developed primarily through artistic collaboration and mutual respect, became publicly evident around 2022. They first met during the filming of Yungblud's music video for "The Funeral," where Ozzy and his wife Sharon Osbourne made a special appearance.
The bond between them strengthened over time, culminating in Ozzy's final Black Sabbath concert in July 2025. Yungblud paid tribute to his friend by performing a cover of the Black Sabbath ballad "Changes" and presenting Ozzy with a heartfelt gift backstage.
