Swinging Into Uncharted Territories: Grant Horvat at the Korn Ferry BMW Charity Pro-Am

With The Players Championship and the LIV Golf League's 'The Duels' under his belt, rising golf star Grant Horvat prepares for another high-profile event. Known for his substantial YouTube following (1.3 million subscribers and counting), the 26-year-old will grace the celebrity section of the Korn Ferry Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am.

Familiar faces like former Premier League soccer player Clint Dempsey, two-time NBA Champion J.R. Smith, Super Bowl winner Jermaine Kearse, actor Brian Baumgartner, and comedian Larry the Cable Guy, are also set to appear. This will be Horvat's third significant tournament of 2025, following his successful outings on the PGA Tour and LIV Golf League.

At the PGA Tour's Creator Classic, Horvat triumphed over George Bryan and No Laying Up's Soly in an enthralling playoff, even birdieing the iconic 17th hole. His LIV Golf League adventure saw him play alongside Phil Mickelson, who happens to be sponsored by Horvat's apparel company Primo. Despite their third-place finish, the duo was one shot shy of Sergio Garcia & George Bryan and Bubba Watson & Luke Kwon.

Recent events haven't been as celebratory. PGA Tour member Wesley Bryan, who finished fifth alongside Dustin Johnson, was reportedly suspended due to his participation in a LIV Golf League event. The suspensions apply to any PGA Tour players who play LIV Golf events, a consequence that Bryan expressed hope wouldn't jeopardize his professional golf career.

As Horvat readies for the Korn Ferry Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am, which begins at Carolina Country Club on the 5th-6th June and continues at Thornblade Club from the 5th-8th June, he confides that he received an invite to play in the PGA Tour's Barracuda Championship in July. In a hypothetical situation, Horvat admits to having mixed feelings about accepting a sponsor's invite to a PGA Tour event but feels empathetic support from World No.1 Scottie Scheffler, who encouraged him to embrace the opportunity.
