Strictly Come Dancing 2025 Lineup Announced
After much anticipation, the BBC has officially announced the contestants for Strictly Come Dancing 2025. The "Fabulous Fifteen" includes a diverse range of stars, from TV personalities and athletes to actors and architects.
Among the confirmed contestants are Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, a former Team GB sprinter and Gladiators star, Dani Dyer, a TV personality, Alex Kingston, an actress best known for her roles in Doctor Who, EastEnders, and ER, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a footballer, George Clarke, a TV presenter and architect, Balvinder Sopal, an actress, Vicky Pattison, another TV personality, and many more.
The announcement was made in August 2025, with the BBC’s TikTok revealing the lineup and various news sources announcing the cast throughout the month. In total, 15 contestants have been confirmed for the series.
Rumors of additional participants continue to swirl, with names such as Stacey Solomon, Mo Farah, Helen Flanagan, and others being mentioned. However, as of now, the confirmed stars are those listed above.
The professional dancers for the 2025 series have also been announced separately, with many returning for the series.
George Clarke, one of the confirmed contestants, has built up a significant following across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. He shared his Strictly news on the airwaves this afternoon with hosts Sam and Danni. Clarke revealed he found out about his participation two months ago.
Balvinder Sopal, another confirmed contestant, has past experience in dancing, having dabbled in ballroom and Latin as a hobby. She will continue her EastEnders role throughout her Strictly Come Dancing stint and prefers Latin dance, particularly the Argentine Tango.
