Title: Seyi Law Urges Youths to Stand up for Change on Digital Platforms

Hitting the organizational circuit last Monday, Seyi Law, aka Idileoye Aletile, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State on Entertainment and Tourism, called out to the Nigerian youth on the necessity of utilizing their digital voices to push for change.

Seyi Law put forth that some Nigerian youths have settled for selling their voices for a mere ₦20,000, a value he insists should be invaluable—a staggering revelation that strikes at the heart of the nation's progress.

Addressing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, during a New Media Engagement session with selected youths, the esteemed comedian highlighted the urgent need for a reform in laws that can stifle citizens' voices.

"When it's about political engagement, I don't back down; I champion the frontline. The future of Nigeria is being molded before our eyes, and we can't merely spectate. We need to participate in the discourse with passion and conviction."

"The chasm between legislators and the citizens requires bridging, not as an afterthought but as a keystone to good governance. A stronger Nigeria demands transparency, accessibility, and a system grounded in respect for every citizen's constitutional rights."

Addressing the alarming concern of values being tradeable for money, Seyi Law described the unethical practice of some citizens selling their voices for as little as N20k as appalling. He emphasized the urgency to restore the nation's ethos, which has been eroded due to such illicit transactions.

"A new Nigeria cannot flourish in a digital space saturated with misinformation and irresponsible narratives. Our cyber laws need to be reinforced, not to suppress conversations, but to secure accountability, factual debates, and responsible digital citizenship."

"Our vision for a future Nigeria is not just an elusive dream but a blueprint for action: intelligent, youth-oriented, technologically advanced, community-driven, and equipped to confront the uncertainties of tomorrow."

"Our voices carry power; our choices do too. The moment to shape the emerging Nigeria has already commenced through President Bola Ahmed Tinubu," he concluded.

Meanwhile, the digital landscape in Nigeria, as suggested by the broader context, remains fraught with misinformation and the need for legal reforms. These concerns were highlighted by some quarters, calling for stronger cyber laws to combat these issues without stifling freedom of speech.

In a similar context, allegations have surfaced against Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of disrupting the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) event. He has vehemently denied the allegations, labeling the claims as "fake news" and defamatory.
