With Haseeb Hameed posting an unbeaten double-hundred for Nottinghamshire, Minto took center stage in the second day's batting, surpassing the responsibilities of a typical nightwatch. The lad, who prior to this match, averaged a modest 13.33 in four first-class outings with 40 runs, knocked off his maiden fifty just before lunch. The accolade came after mere two balls post-lunch, with Brett Hutton's delivery finding the hands of the same Hameed on the leg side.

On the pitch, Minto's prowess lies in his left-arm pace bowling, boasting a tally of 10 wickets in his brief career to date. To add to his repertoire, he also nabbed Zimbabwe Test players Ben Curran and Brian Bennett.
