In the city of Homburg, the Youth Council has commenced its second term, with a new set of elected members ready to take on the responsibilities of municipal politics. The council, which is an integral part of the city administration, is overseen by Mayor Michael Forster and various committees.

The current members of the Homburg Youth Council include Akua Addai, Erza Bala, Nils Bernhard, Anton Brixius, Jessica Chu, Mathilda Hackländer, Julia Klatt, Sofia Knerr, Jakob Kruthoff, Muzaffer Kürtün, Fatima Lubrich, Colleen Emilia Metz, Vinusha Paramakuru, Aileen Scheid, Anastasia Schön, Angela Steinmüller, Vivienne Stickel, Alexander Veith, Robert Wöbbeking, and Ellen Ziehl.

The election process saw the selection of a chairperson, a vice-chairperson, and two additional members. The identities of these newly elected officials have yet to be announced publicly. However, it is worth noting that André Gubsch was initially a candidate for the chairmanship but has withdrawn his candidacy as of September 2025. No other candidates for the youth council chairmanship have been mentioned in recent search results.

The Youth Council was initiated during Mayor Michael Forster's tenure and has since become a platform for young voices in the city's administration. The council's activities are expected to continue under the guidance of Mayor Forster and his departmental division, which includes responsibility for youth affairs.

Deputy Mayor Nathalie Kroj is responsible for youth affairs, and she urged the young attendees to make their voices heard and advocate for their concerns. These concerns, she noted, are likely to differ from those of adults. Deputy Mayor Kroj's sentiments were echoed by Deputy Mayor Philipp Scheidweiler, who praised the members of the Homburg Youth Council for their interest in municipal politics and encouraged them to use their strong youth voice.

The inaugural meeting of the Homburg Youth Council was marked by compliments from Deputy Mayor Scheidweiler, who expressed his delight at being responsible for youth affairs. Commissioner Thomas Höchstedt, who is responsible for schools and inclusion, was also present at the meeting.

The Homburg Youth Council is a body that young attendees are part of, and its role is to represent the youth of the city in municipal politics. The elected members will represent the council to Mayor Michael Forster and other committees, ensuring that the concerns and ideas of the city's young people are heard at the highest levels of government.

As the council begins its second term, it does so with a renewed mandate to advocate for the issues that matter most to Homburg's youth. The council's members are encouraged to use their positions to make a difference and ensure that the city's young people have a voice in its future.
