HSV Snags Jasper Hölscher from Eimsbüttel TV: A Promising Move for the Club's Youth Development

Jasper Hölscher, the 27-year-old talent developer with a knack for nurturing football prospects, is diving into the HSV youth ranks, leaving his former post at the Eimsbüttel.

Hölscher's abilities in spurring young talent blossomed during his tenure at the Eimsbütteler TV (ETV). A whopping 70 athletes made it to the youth teams of Bundesliga clubs, highlighting his success rate with the ETV. Now, HSV is set to experience the benefits of his talents.

Loïc Favé, previously responsible for the youth strategy at the ETV and the club's football youth coordinator, has managed to snag his successor in his new role as sporting director at the HSV. At the HSV, Hölscher will assume the role as co-trainer for the U-21 team alongside Lukas Pfeiffer while taking on coordinating responsibilities in the youth area. Hölscher stepped foot on the pitch during the training on Wednesday.

ETV Co-Trainer Shines in Double Promotion

"Jasper Hölscher's high-level recruitment to the youth area of the ETV football is indicative of our successful youth development," Frank Fechner, the 1. chairman of the ETV, stated. "We don't put up barriers for our top talents but assist in their growth." One result of Hölscher's ETV training was the dual promotion of the men's team from the Landesliga to the Regionalliga in 2023. The 2023/24 season in the fourth league was chronicled in the award-winning, seven-part video documentation, "Wolfsrudel - Eimsbüttel in the Regionalliga," by the Hamburger Abendblatt.

During this time, Hölscher served not only as the sporting director for the men's team but also took the pitch in the Regionalliga (defense, midfield). "Although I was aware that the ETV would not be my final stop, it's still tough to bid farewell after such a long and intense journey," Hölscher said on Wednesday. "I'm grateful for the club's trust and especially Frank Fechner, who entrusted me with such a crucial position at such a young age."
