Stuttgart's Football Club VfB signs under-17 World Cup champion Darvich - Young talent Darvich, the victor of the U17 World Championship, has officially signed with VfB Stuttgart.

In a move that signals the start of an exciting new chapter for the young midfielder, Noah Darvich has signed for Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart following a stint at FC Barcelona's second team in the third Spanish league.

Born in Freiburg in 2006, Darvich began his football journey with SC Freiburg's youth academy before being snapped up by FC Barcelona's famed La Masia academy in 2023 for a reported fee of €2.5 million. Over two years at Barcelona, he played 46 to 50 matches for their youth and B teams, contributing a few goals and assists but did not break into the first team.

Internationally, Darvich is a highly regarded German youth international. He notably captained Germany U17 to victory at the UEFA European U17 Championship and was part of the squad that won the FIFA U17 World Cup in Indonesia in December 2023. These achievements underline his pedigree as a top talent in his age group.

Despite his promise, Darvich did not make an appearance for Barcelona's senior squad during his time at the club. With limited first-team prospects, he was sold to VfB Stuttgart in mid-2025. The transfer is permanent, with Stuttgart signing him to a contract until 2029. Barcelona’s sale did not include a buy-back or matching rights clause, meaning they relinquished control over his future.

Upon signing, Darvich expressed enthusiasm for returning to Germany and joining Stuttgart, a club whose recent progress he had followed. Stuttgart’s sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, praised Darvich as an elite talent with significant developmental potential, expecting him to continue his ascent in the Bundesliga environment.

With the transfer fee reported to be just under one million euros, Darvich becomes the second new signing for VfB Stuttgart after Lorenz Assignon from Stade Rennes. The young midfielder aims to make a breakthrough in professional football with Stuttgart and is eager to contribute to the team's success.

Noah Darvich's career path has taken him from early development and international youth success in Germany to La Masia’s elite academy, culminating in a strategic return to the Bundesliga with VfB Stuttgart where he seeks to establish himself professionally and fulfill his potential.

The community can rejoice as Noah Darvich, the young midfielder, has committed to aid the development of the football sector by joining Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart. This strategic move is expected to provide ample opportunities for Darvich to further his career, underlining his potential as a top talent in the Bundesliga. Moreover, the community can look forward to community aid as Darvich aims to contribute to Stuttgart's success on the pitch, fostering a sense of camaraderie and support among the fans.
