Inexperienced Influencer from Gaza Strip Lost in Israeli Airstrike

Eleven-year-old Yaqeen Hammad, widely recognized as Gaza's youngest influencer, has tragically lost her life following an Israeli airstrike on Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, as stated by British outlet The Guardian. The attack took place on Thursday night. As of yet, no official confirmation of her death has been posted on Instagram, her primary social media platform that boasts over 106,000 followers.

Hammad's videos, which emphasized acts of kindness, focused on distributing clothing, toys, and food to orphaned and displaced children. She also shared videos demonstrating survival strategies for a population living under daily siege, such as cooking with limited fuel and finding clean water. Her messages of hope and resilience, often captured in joyful moments among children, attracted a broad international audience.

The young activist was deeply involved with the Ouena Collective, a non-profit organization based in the Gaza Strip. Alongside her older brother, a humanitarian aid worker, Hammad played a significant role in distributing essential supplies and helping build kitchens to feed Palestinians, particularly during Ramadan. Her contributions to the community made her a beloved figure and source of inspiration.

In other recent tragic events in the region, as reported by the health authority of the Gaza Strip controlled by Hamas, nine children of a doctor were killed just a few days ago. One child, an eleven-year-old like Hammad, survived but sustained severe injuries. The mother of the family worked at the Nasser Hospital, as confirmed by the BBC. A British doctor operating on the surviving child expressed shock at the incident in an Instagram video.

Relatives of the deceased children appealed for mercy in an interview with AFP, urging all nations, international organizations, and groups to take pity on their plight.

Israel and the Gaza Strip continue to witness escalated violence, with this tragic incident serving as a stark reminder of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
