Gaza Strip: Eleven-year-old Influencer Yaqeen Hammad Believed Killed in Israeli Airstrike

Yaqeen Hammad, a prominent 11-year-old influencer from the Gaza Strip, is reported to have been killed in an Israeli airstrike on Thursday night. She was widely recognized as "Gaza's youngest influencer," boasting a substantial following of over 100,000 individuals on her account.

Known for sharing pragmatic survival advice tailored to the arduous living conditions of the Gaza Strip, Hammad's videos covering topics such as cooking without gas mirrored the daily struggles experienced by the area's residents due to ongoing conflicts and blockades.

In addition to disseminating practical advice, Hammad embodied resilience and hope in Gaza, inspiring many with her creativity and dogged optimism in the face of adversity. She once encapsulated the indomitable spirit of the Gaza community with the poignant statement, "Gaza, nothing's impossible," which deeply resonated with both her audience and community leaders.

No official confirmation of Hammad's death has been announced, nor have there been any updates on her Instagram account. However, according to the British "Guardian," the young influencer perished in an attack on Deir al-Balah, a northern region of the Gaza Strip.

Prior to the airstrike, Hammad worked closely with the "Ouena collective," a non-profit organization frequently mentioned in her posts. She often assisted her older brother, a humanitarian aid worker, in distributing supplies to those in need.

The tragic death of Yaqeen Hammad comes days after the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip health authority reported the killing of nine children of a doctor. Only one child survived the attack but sustained severe injuries. The mother of the children worked at the Nasser Hospital, with the hospital confirming the information to the BBC.

The incident sparked outcry, with a relative of the deceased children appealing to all parties involved for mercy. In an interview with the news agency AFP, they implored, "Enough! Have mercy on us."
