Orla found all themes in the 2025 series of The Great British Sewing Bee interesting. Particularly, she enjoyed kids week and art week. One of her most challenging moments was the film week transformation, which she considered her worst moment on the show.

Throughout the competition, Orla made friendships with the other contestants. She also learned new skills and ways to handle pressure. Orla feels she has progressed as a sewer since participating in The Great British Sewing Bee.
