Fighting back in Rostov

The II stage in Rostov-on-Don, May 3-4, greeted racers with comfortably warm weather. Daniil shone brightly, setting the best lap times. Meanwhile, his opponents scrambled to catch up. The stage seemed to be in Daniil's favor – he led in all races, battling for top spots. However, a botched start saw him drop to 14th after the first turn. Yet, Daniil's fighting spirit never wavered. He clawed his way back, climbing to 7th by the end of the race, securing himself a well-deserved spot on the podium!

During the event, the Olympic Movement took place, and Daniil stepped up as a coach for the champion. He tackled the task responsibly, sharing valuable starting techniques and trajectory tips with the Olympic champ.

Rybinsk: The rollercoaster ride

The following stage, on May 17-18, in Rybinsk presented unpredictable weather conditions—from bright sun to cold rain. Daniil seethed ahead during training races, setting a steep pace for competitors. During the official races, he led the pack, with a win looking imminent. But a team error in crucial settings left Daniil struggling, resulting in a 15th-place finish, 36 racers behind. Learning from a disappointing loss is part of the sport!
