A Ten-Year-Old Girl Trapped Under the Rubble in Kherson Oblast

In a horrific turn of events, a Russian assault has left a 10-year-old girl buried under the debris of a destroyed home in the village of Bilozerska, Kherson Oblast[1].
As reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Oblast Military Administration, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the child sustained a series of injuries including blast injuries, traumatic brain injuries, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to her legs[1]. Fortunately, our brave rescue workers were able to extract the girl from under the rubble and entrusted her to medics for immediate care.
The aftermath of this terrible incident was captured by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a burning house and outbuilding were seen following the strike[1]. Firefighters swiftly extinguished the fire, ensuring no further damage was caused.
Unfortunately, this attack is not an isolated event. On May 11, 2025, Russian troops launched a barrage on Kherson and the village of Bilozerska, resulting in the injuries of two elderly women aged 57 and 76, and a 61-year-old man[1]. The details of their current conditions remain unknown.
