A 22-year-old Syrian man is currently under investigation by the Federal Police for fraud and assault on a law enforcement officer. The incident occurred on a Regionalexpress train between Wolmirstedt and Magdeburg on October 1, 2024.
According to reports, the man presented an invalid train ticket and was approached by a patrol upon arrival at Magdeburg Central Station. However, the man refused to cooperate and physically resisted, causing pain to an officer by grabbing her arm, squeezing it tightly, and pulling her hair. The officer was able to continue her service following the incident.
