Upcoming Concerts in Quebec: Smash Mouth, Papa Roach, Bad Religion, Shaggy, Nelly Furtado, and Plastic Bertrand

In a series of exciting concerts this summer, Quebec welcomes several renowned artists to its stages. Among them are Smash Mouth, Papa Roach, Bad Religion, Shaggy, Nelly Furtado, and Plastic Bertrand.

Smash Mouth

With the death of frontman Steve Harwell in 2023, only one original member remains in the current lineup of Smash Mouth: Paul De Lisle, the bassist and backing vocalist. Despite this, the band continues to shine, with their iconic 1999 hit, All Star, still resonating globally. Catch Smash Mouth at the Musique Fest in Rivière-du-Loup on June 14, Grands Crus Musicaux in Saguenay on July 11, Régates in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield on July 12, and Osisko en lumière festival in Rouyn-Noranda on August 9.

Papa Roach

In 2000, Papa Roach conquered the hearts of many adolescents with the tortured anthems of their second album, Infest. Now one of the most vibrant survivors of the nu metal genre, Papa Roach reached the top of the Billboard rock chart for the 11th time in March with the song Even If It Kills Me. Witness their performances at the Place Festivalma in Trois-Rivières on July 14, Saint-Georges Summer Festival on July 16, Fête du Lac des Nations in Sherbrooke on July 17, Festival des Générations in Nicolet on July 20, and Agora du Port in Quebec City on July 22.

Bad Religion

The Festival au Lac in Granby, Red Bridge Fest in Pont-Rouge, Rock la Cauze in Victoriaville, Music 4 Cancer Festival in Sainte-Thérèse, and FestiVoix in Trois-Rivières will all feature the soundtrack of the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skate. Among the acts is Bad Religion, whose American Jesus will echo once again during their performance at the Grands Crus Musicaux in Saguenay on July 3 and Soif de musique in Cowansville on July 4.

Shaggy

In May 2022, dancehall star Shaggy received an honorary doctorate from Brown University. The Jamaican artist, who has been a chart regular since the mid-1990s, will soon visit Quebec as part of the FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières on July 5, accompanied by several other performers, including K. Maro, Sans Pression, Marie-Pierre Arthur, and Nicolas Pellerin.

Nelly Furtado

Nelly Furtado, whose record sales surpass 45 million albums, will make a rare appearance in Quebec as part of the FestiVoix and Festival Générations de Nicolet. This will be her only Quebec date and the only show in North America of the year for the Canadian singer, who will draw from her diverse catalog, including I'm Like a Bird and Promiscuous. At present, her duet partner at the time, Justin Timberlake, has not confirmed his presence.

Plastic Bertrand

Plastic Bertrand will perform only two shows this summer, both in Quebec: at the Festirame d'Alma and the Grandes Soirées de Shawinigan on July 9 and 11, respectively. His last performance in Quebec was in 2017, during Just For Laughs. These concerts will serve as a celebration of the 43rd anniversary of the SuperMusique O'Keefe tour, during which Plastic Bertrand traveled across Quebec with the Bill group, Daniel Hétu, Nanette Workman, and Céline Dion in 1982.
