Yemen Missile Intercepted Silently

===================================================================

At 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, a missile was launched from Yemen towards Israeli territory, marking the latest in a series of attacks primarily linked to the Iran-aligned Houthi militias since late 2023.

The recent escalation reflects the Houthis' declared solidarity with Palestinians, as they have carried out repeated missile and drone strikes towards southern and central Israel since the conflict intensified in October 2023. Israel has reciprocated with airstrikes against Houthi targets.

The missile launched on Thursday was intercepted by Israeli defenses at 4:25 a.m., according to the IDF. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) activated its aerial defense systems to counter the threat, and although air-raid sirens were not sounded in accordance with protocol, the Home Front Command requested the public to follow defensive guidelines.

Minor injuries were reported as people rushed to shelters in response to the incident, and Ben Gurion Airport temporarily suspended operations. The attack adds a new front to the regional conflict involving Iran-backed groups against Israel.

This incident is not an isolated event, but part of a broader regional conflict related to the Gaza situation. Major escalations have continued into 2025, including direct attacks on key Israeli infrastructure. The ongoing conflict underscores the need for continued vigilance and robust defense measures to protect Israeli territory.
