Yelawolf's "Whiskey & Roses" and Upcoming Tour

Rapper Yelawolf, born Michael Wayne Atha, is currently on a tour that takes him back home to Alabama and Tennessee. This tour, named "45," signifies his age, and it includes a stop at The Bridge at Santa Fe Brewing in Santa Fe on Thursday, Aug. 7.

During this tour, Yelawolf is working on a new solo album that captures this exact moment in his life. The album, themed around life's ups and downs and the determination to keep pushing forward, is a reflection of his renewed energy and the nostalgic feel while feeling different and new.

Yelawolf's recent collaboration album, "Whiskey & Roses," released on July 11, 2025, is a testament to this. The album, released via Slumerican Records, blends country, rock, hip-hop, and Americana influences in a genre-defying style often described as "country trap" and southern soul.

The album features 10 tracks, including "Helping Hand," "I Swear," "Amnesia," "Falling," "Honey Hole," "Giddy Up," "Searching For Heaven," "Yay Yay Yay" (featuring Struggle Jennings), "Big Trucks," and "All I Ever Seen." The closing track, "All I Ever Seen," is sung by J. Michael Phillips, who also collaborated with Yelawolf on the entire album.

"Whiskey & Roses" has been praised for its bold fusion of genres and emotional depth. Tracks like “Helping Hand” and “I Swear” showcase vulnerability and innovative melding of country storytelling with rap and rock elements. The album captures life's duality—joy and hardship, symbolized by "whiskey and roses."

Yelawolf is proud of the work he's put into his music so far and acknowledges that he's having a rare opportunity to still be making music and touring at 45. He suggests that they will start switching gears moving forward.

On his day off from the tour, Yelawolf plans to enjoy a round of golf. The message of "Whiskey & Roses" according to Yelawolf is "no apologies given." A few songs featuring J. Michael Phillips will be included in Yelawolf's set in Santa Fe.

The "Whiskey & Roses" album is available on various platforms, and limited edition vinyl versions were also released for collectors. The song “Honey Hole” was released with an official audio stream on YouTube around the release date.

For fans of Yelawolf and those interested in a unique blend of country, rock, hip-hop, and Americana, "Whiskey & Roses" is both a celebration and confession, pushing the boundaries of modern country and hip-hop fusion with soulful storytelling and southern roots.

  1. Yelawolf's upcoming tour may include performances of tracks from his recently released album "Whiskey & Roses," which showcases a unique blend of country, rock, hip-hop, and Americana genres.
  2. On his days off from the tour, Yelawolf, who is currently working on a new solo album, might enjoy some entertainment other than music, such as a round of golf, just as he does no apologies given.
