Yekaterinburg braces for a fleeting autumn heatwave this week

Unsettled weather will continue in Yekaterinburg for the rest of autumn. A cyclone moving northeast toward the Barents Sea coast is bringing warmer air to Sverdlovsk Oblast. Forecasters expect a brief but strong rise in temperatures later this week.

On Tuesday, November 25, daytime highs in the city will reach +5°C. The following day, temperatures will drop slightly to +4°C. Nighttime lows throughout the period will stay between −1°C and −4°C.

The brief warming will bring milder daytime temperatures before autumn’s usual chill settles back in. Precipitation levels are not expected to deviate significantly from seasonal averages. Residents should prepare for shifting conditions as the cyclone moves away.
