Kanye West's Latest Name Change: From Ye to Ye Ye

His financial director has already rebranded several of his companies, including Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label, LLC, and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc. In the past, West signed his name as Ye West in legal documents, but it appears that Ye is now firmly his chosen moniker.

A Shift in Identity

2018 saw West first announcing his intention to be known as Ye, and he released an album under the same title. He didn't officially change his name until 2021. In an interview that year, he explained his choice of name, calling it "the most commonly used word in the Bible," and stating that it symbolized unity and inclusion, representing "you" and "we."

In May of this year, there was a leak of Kanye West's 12th album on Discord before its official release. The leak was a response to his controversial statements and actions.
