Yakutsk's Wrestling Team Recognized as Finest at Spartiak Event

Y'all better get ready, 'cause the Yakutsk team is blowin' up the scene again at the "Sports of Yakutia"! This time, they snatched the top spot in the team standings for the third year runnin' at the republican student games. The action went down June 6-7 in the wrestling hall of the North-Eastern Federal University, attracting 242 athletes from 28 municipal teams.

Snatching the gold like a boss, athletes from Yakutsk city took the first place. standings. Among the champions, Arian Vinokurov (51 kg), Vygun Burцев (71 kg), Nozim Sofarov (80 kg), Zhakshalyak Asanov (110 kg), Irina Pustovit (40 kg), Keracheene Sergeeva (53 kg), and Alexandra Filippova (61 kg) shone brightest.

Coming in a close second was the Suntarsky District team with two champions and six prize-winners. Sara Zabotskaya (46 kg) and Artur Yakolev (45 kg) earned their gold medals and showcased their wrestling prowess.

The podium didn't exclude the Churapchinsky District team, who took the third place, with Erhan Smirnikov (55 kg) taking gold amongst their participants.

Let's not forget the impressive participation of over 1100 athletes in the final stage of the Yakutia Student Sports Games, held in Yakutsk from June 4 to 8, in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Homeland Defender in Yakutia.
