Yakutsk launches Workplace Safety Month with global well-being focus in 2026
Yakutsk Declares April Workplace Safety Month
From April 1 to 30, the city of Yakutsk will observe Workplace Safety Month. The theme of the 2026 World Day for Safety and Health at Work is "A Positive Psychosocial Work Environment: The Path to Employee Well-Being and a Strong Organization."
The Yakutsk City Administration invites managers, occupational safety specialists, and all interested parties from local organizations and enterprises to take part in the month's events.
Key Events:
April 2 – An open meeting of the City Interagency Commission on Occupational Safety will review: - Workplace injury trends in the urban district of Yakutsk over the past five years (2021–2025); - The implementation of special workplace condition assessments in Yakutsk over the past five years (2021–2025); - Registered occupational diseases in Yakutsk over the past five years (2021–2025) and measures to prevent and reduce their incidence; - Results of regulatory oversight and compliance with occupational safety standards in local organizations.
April 7 – A dynamic team-building training session, "The Goldberg Machine."
April 10 – A practical workshop covering occupational risk assessment and the development of personal protective equipment (PPE) standards for educational institutions.
April 14 – An interactive session analyzing real workplace scenarios, with a focus on "Psychological Safety: Four Key Areas for Specialists." The seminar will explore strategies for supporting employees' mental health and fostering a comfortable work environment.
April 22 – A seminar on "The System of Incoming Inspection for Workwear: Theory and Practice," including an examination of regulatory requirements and inspection techniques for protective clothing upon delivery to enterprises.
April 23 – A panel discussion on "A Positive Psychosocial Work Environment and Technological Innovation as the Foundation for Sustainable Organizational and Human Capital Development."
