Yakutsk Celebrates Sagalgan Festival with Cultural Extravaganza

Yakutsk residents recently enjoyed a cultural extravaganza at the Kulakovsky Cultural Center. A festive ticket master concert on February 17, 2024, celebrated Sagalgan, the Buddhist White Month festival. The event offered locals a chance to explore the traditions of Buryats, Mongols, and related peoples through music and dance.

The concert, held to mark the Buddhist festival of the White Month, attracted a notable guest. Chingis Radnaev, a Merited Artist of Buryatia, took centre stage. His presence added a touch of prestige to the event.

The festival, known as Sagalgan to Buryats and Mongols, took place on February 10, 2024. It celebrates the beginning of the lunar year and is a time for reflection, renewal, and joyous celebration. The concert in Yakutsk provided a platform for local artists to showcase their talents and share their unique cultural heritage with the community.
