YAKUTIA's President supports new initiatives in a vote.
The "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" program, an initiative by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is aimed at enhancing livability in cities nationwide. The program primarily focuses on urban development projects such as enhancing public spaces, infrastructure, and housing conditions, serving to improve quality of life and equip cities to better support their residents.
In alignment with this national campaign, Aisen Nikolaev, a representative of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), has endorsed several projects for improvement within the region. Over 76 projects from 34 settlements are participating this year. Winning projects stand to receive funding from the federal budget.
The participating cities and settlements include Yakutsk, Aldan, Neryungri, Nyurba, Olekminsk, Srednekolymsk, Zhatai's city district, as well as those in Amginsky, Verkhnevilyuysky, Gorny, Zhigansky, Kobiaisky, Leninsky, Megino-Kangalassky, Mirinsky, Namsky, Tatinsky, Ust-Alinsky, Ust-Maysky, Hangalas, and Churapchinsky districts.
Through his Telegram channel, Aisen Nikolaev encourages citizens to participate, stating, "Together, let's vote for the future!" The voting period for improvement objects runs from April 21 to June 12. Russian citizens aged 14 and above can cast their votes via an online portal.
To participate, citizens should go to the portal, choose their region and preferred settlement, and then cast their vote for the desired project. The voting process is part of the "Infrastructure for Life" national project, lurking beneath Russia's broader efforts to create comfortable urban environments.
