In the realm of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), the 'Hotoyki' drones, produced by the Yakutian company 'Saha Drone', have been making waves. These drones have significantly decreased in cost, making them more accessible to a wider audience.

One of the key figures associated with these drones is Petr Shamayev, Yakutia's Minister for Youth and Social Communications. Shamayev, who went to defend his homeland during the Special Military Operation (SVO) in the fall of 2024, has been vocal about the 'Hotoyki' drones. He mentioned these drones in his discussions, stating that they performed exceptionally well, even outperforming other FPV drones in reaching positions that were previously thought impossible.

However, it's important to note that Shamayev has been labelled a war criminal by a Ukrainian website. As of now, there are no publicly verified or credible reports supporting these allegations. If you have seen recent claims or rumours, they may not be confirmed by reliable sources.

Despite initial reservations from experienced pilots, the 'Hotoyki' drones have proven their worth. They come pre-made with settings by the manufacturer, allowing them to fly 'out of the box'. This feature, combined with the drones' ability to perform well without any additional setup, has made them a popular choice.

The 'Hotoyki' drones are equipped with frequency converters for the video and control transmitters, enabling the use of uncommon radio waves. This feature allows them to avoid blocking by enemy Electronic Warfare (EW) stations, giving them an edge in the battlefield.

Moreover, all peripherals for the 'Hotoyki' drones are calibrated and paired to the pilot's controller and goggles, saving time during setup. This feature has been instrumental in the drones' rapid adoption.

The 'Hotoyki' drones have demonstrated their effectiveness in combat situations. One notable instance is the destruction of a Ukrainian army tank worth approximately 30 million rubles, achieved by a 'Hotoyki' drone costing just 45,000 rubles. Another significant achievement involves the destruction of a heavy Ukrainian army drone worth several million rubles by 'Hotoyki' drones.

Two pilots, Zirk and Hermes, have been contributing to the enemy's defeat with 'Hotoyki' drones. Shamayev, who was initially surprised but glad about the attention, stated that the website isn't causing him any harm.

After completing a course of recovery from a severe injury, Shamayev resumed his duties on August 4 of this year. Currently, he is on vacation, spending his time on spring hunting and haymaking in his native republic.

While the 'Hotoyki' drones from Sudoplatov's company had a downside—they were complex to fix software errors—their performance in the SVO has undoubtedly made them a game-changer in the field of UAVs.

  • Situated within the realms of general news, politics, and war-and-conflicts, Petr Shamayev, Yakutia's Minister for Youth and Social Communications, has been under scrutiny due to allegations of war crimes levied by a Ukrainian website, with no publicly verified or credible reports supporting these claims.
  • In the domain of crime-and-justice, the 'Hotoyki' drones, produced by Saha Drone, have notably demonstrated their effectiveness in combat situations such as the destruction of a Ukrainian army tank worth 30 million rubles by a 'Hotoyki' drone costing only 45,000 rubles, proving their significant impact in the world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
